Creamy Kavli Whipped Cheddar Cheese serves as a delicious dip with crispy bacon and hot honey. Ideal dip recipe for a ‘picky tea’, finger food and sharing.

Ingredients for hot honey:
120ml honey
2tsp chilli flakes
1tsp hot sauce

Ingredients for dip:
180g bacon
360g Kavli Whipped Cheddar, at room temperature
x2 spring onions, thinly sliced

To Serve:

toasted bread or crackers


  1. Pre-cook the bacon in the oven for 15 minutes at 180C degrees. Once cooled, crumble into small pieces. 

  2. Add the honey and chilli flakes to a small pot over medium heat.

  3. Gently heat the honey until you see small bubbles forming along the edges of the pan, then remove the pan from the heat.

  4. Stir the hot sauce in and let the honey infuse for 5 minutes (if you like a spicier sauce, add an extra tsp of hot sauce).

  5. Strain the honey through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean glass jar.

  6. Spread Kavli Whipped Cheddar onto a plate or bowl. Drizzle over the hot honey, and sprinkle the bacon pieces and spring onion on top.

  7. Top Tip:

    (Do not let the honey come to a full boil as it may bubble up and boil over the side of the pot. Honey can quickly become too thick and sticky if you let it boil for too long.)
